Senior SEO / Evergreen Crypto & Fintech Editor

Own the crypto and fintech content readers actually trust — reviews, guides and comparisons — for one of crypto's most established brands. AI-forward, crypto-native, real ownership.

Remote Full-time or contract Senior CryptoSlate (an Upshift Media property)

About the role

CryptoSlate is looking for an experienced SEO and evergreen content editor to lead, edit, and improve high-intent crypto and fintech content across reviews, guides, comparisons, and project coverage.

This role is for someone who already understands the crypto industry — not someone looking to learn it from scratch. You should be comfortable working with content on crypto exchanges, crypto cards, wallets, launchpads, presales, token projects, DeFi tools, and beginner-to-advanced crypto guides.

The right candidate combines editorial judgment, SEO discipline, crypto-native knowledge, and a practical command of AI-assisted workflows. AI tools should make research, outlining, editing, refreshing, and quality control faster — without weakening accuracy, sourcing, originality, or reader trust.

Who you'd be joining

Upshift Media — which owns and operates CryptoSlate — is a lean, AI-first team of fewer than seven people (the two-pizza rule, on purpose). We run on four values: We Own Outcomes · We Run on AI · We Get Shit Done · We Grow Together. You'd own a real surface, not a queue of tickets — with the autonomy and AI tooling to punch far above your weight.

It's also a place to level up fast: you'll work with the most advanced AI editorial workflows in the industry every day, and leave world-class at applying AI in crypto media — the kind of operator any company fights to hire.

The deal: fully remote — work whenever and wherever you do your best work (small HQ in Cyprus); a competitive base plus a high-margin performance bonus; co-working covered if you're outside Cyprus; and once a year we fly the whole team to Cyprus to celebrate. We hire culture-first — only apply if you genuinely share these values.

What you'll work on

  • Crypto exchange reviews and comparisons.
  • Crypto debit and credit card reviews.
  • Crypto wallet reviews — hot, cold, mobile, hardware, and self-custody tools.
  • Crypto guides, explainers and how-to content for beginner to advanced readers.
  • Launchpad reviews and token-launch coverage.
  • Coin, presale and crypto project reviews.
  • Best-of pages, listicles, commercial SEO pages and comparison content.
  • Content refreshes where facts, fees, features, rankings or market context have changed.

Key responsibilities

  • Edit long-form SEO content for clarity, accuracy, structure, search intent and reader usefulness.
  • Review content for factual accuracy — fees, supported assets, KYC, security, proof of reserves, jurisdictional availability, tokenomics, roadmap claims and product features.
  • Ensure every material claim is properly sourced, current and not overstated.
  • Shape articles to answer search intent quickly, then provide useful depth.
  • Improve headings, intros, metadata, FAQs, internal links, comparison tables, verdicts and review structures.
  • Work with writers and AI-assisted drafts to turn rough copy into publishable editorial content.
  • Identify weak, generic, outdated or unsupported claims and replace them with specific, evidence-backed analysis.
  • Refresh evergreen pages when products, fees, features, rankings or project details change.
  • Maintain a consistent editorial voice across crypto reviews, fintech guides and commercial SEO pages.
  • Collaborate with SEO, content and publishing teams to prioritise updates, new articles and revenue-driving pages.

Required experience

  • Previous professional experience in crypto, fintech or digital-assets content.
  • Strong understanding of exchanges, wallets, stablecoins, DeFi, token launches, presales, trading products, custody models, staking and common user risks.
  • Proven experience editing SEO-driven evergreen content.
  • Experience with commercial content — reviews, comparisons, best-of pages, buying guides, product-led explainers.
  • Strong fact-checking ability with primary sources: official product pages, help centres, whitepapers, docs, terms pages, fee schedules, regulatory pages, block explorers and reputable market data.
  • Ability to spot unsupported hype, vague claims, affiliate-style filler and generic AI copy.
  • Strong on-page SEO: search intent, keyword placement, metadata, internal linking, structure, FAQs and refresh strategy.
  • Excellent English — making complex crypto topics clear without oversimplifying.
  • Comfort with Notion, Google Docs, WordPress or another CMS, and common SEO tools.

How you use AI

You already work like an AI-native editor — and you know exactly where AI breaks. We're not impressed by "I use ChatGPT." We want someone who builds systems and catches what AI gets wrong before it ships:

  • You build repeatable AI workflows — briefs, audits, refreshes, comparison tables, FAQs, metadata, internal links — not one-off prompts.
  • You catch hallucinations, vague claims and templated phrasing, and cross-check every material claim against primary sources.
  • You know precisely when not to trust AI — current prices, fees, rankings, and legal or regulatory claims always need a human and a source.
  • You turn AI drafts into copy that reads like expert human editorial — because readers can always tell.

Nice to have

  • Editing for a crypto publication, fintech brand, exchange, wallet company or affiliate SEO site.
  • Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Search Console, Analytics, Surfer, Clearscope or similar.
  • Editing YMYL content where accuracy, sourcing and trust are critical.
  • Understanding of E-E-A-T applied to crypto, investing, fintech and product reviews.
  • Tokenomics, smart contracts, vesting, audits, liquidity, market cap, FDV and on-chain data.
  • Building editorial templates, scoring methodologies, review frameworks or QA processes.

What we offer

While we'd prefer you do it for the love of the game, this is a role where that interest gets applied to real ownership — reading product docs, challenging claims, improving structure, and turning noisy crypto information into useful pages.

  • A remote role focused on crypto and fintech content, not generic SEO work.
  • Ownership over evergreen reviews and guides readers actually use.
  • The chance to build editorial systems — templates, scoring frameworks, refresh processes, AI workflows and QA checks.
  • A practical AI-forward workflow: better output, faster, without sacrificing accuracy or judgment.
  • Direct collaboration with the CryptoSlate team on search strategy, content quality and review standards.
  • Flexible remote work with clear expectations, fast feedback and meaningful ownership.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience, skill level and scope.
